Passports
Please note, the renewal process for a passport can take up to 8 to 10 weeks. If you need to travel to Panama before that time, it might be better to request a
travel document and then to renew your passport once in Panama.
Requirements:
2 photocopies of
Application Form completed and properly signed, in identical fashion as your Cedula.
2 photocopies of
Signature Form in identical fashion as your Cedula.

Report of Lost Passport Form sealed and signed by a Notary Public.
2 photocopies of your Panamanian Cedula (Picture Identification Card), , even if it has expired
and two 2 photocopies of another form of photo identification with signature. If you have lost your cedula, send us two notarized copies of two picture IDs. Note: The Consulate has the right to refuse the application without the cedula, regardless of alternate picture IDs and you may need to apply for a Travel Document to travel to Panama.

Married and Divorced Persons
Applicants who have changed their single status to married should register their Marriage Certificate with Panamas Civil Registry and request a new Cedula before requesting a change in the passport.
Applicants who have dissolved their marriage must first register their divorce before the Civil Registry in order to change the name in your passport.
Panamanian law allows married women to conserve their maiden name. Applicants who are married, but wish to continue using their maiden name, should make the appropriate application before the Civil Registry and request a new Cedula and new Passport to reflect their change in marital status but maintaining their maiden name.
All these changes must be made prior to requesting a new passport; otherwise the passport will bear the same first and last name as the current Cedula.
